I’m 30,000 words (~60%) into my draft of Anais and the Broken War. It’s coming. Slowly but surely. I’m crossing my fingers that I can get it out by Christmas.
I would love to be releasing every 90 days, instead of every year. Sadly it’s just not realistic for me right now.
I contacted Beetiful and am talking with Stefanie about cover art for Anais and the Broken War. Hopefully next month I can reveal the cover.
My husband and I are still listening to the audiobook version of Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. I really loved the first part, but there was this insanely huge time jump. I still like it, but I’m struggling to stay interested. I also read Malice at the Palace by Rhys Bowen. I love her books. I would suggest them to anyone who likes cozy mysteries.
Also, I broke down and caved in to the ‘you have to have a mailing list’ mantra. In order to accomplish this I went to the post office and got a post office box. I had to do this because I needed an address, and I didn’t want my home address to be readily available. And then I signed up for a mail chimp account. I’ll work on the mailing list and try to make it nicer. But it is functional. I will only send out emails when I have a new release. Obviously, I would love it if you signed up at http://eepurl.com/bvt11L. However, I understand if you would rather not. Mailing lists are sort of obnoxious.
I’ve also been trying to make my website a little prettier. I upgraded to a wordpress premium account and you can now fine me at www.jamiewilsonbooks.com. I’ve got links to my mailing list and to each of my books on Amazon in the sidebar. Hopefully it looks better. Someday I’d love to hire Beetiful to design a web page for me. Someday…
I’ll update again on September 15th 2015. Until then…
